Clinical Data Management
The way RCTS manages clinical data also differentiates us from other clinical trials facilities.
The heart of our data management process (from test article receipt to issuing the final report) is an advanced relational database technology that speeds up the testing and reporting processes while virtually eliminating the risk of data entry error. Data are never unattended as they move through our system, and sign-off forms are required at every step to ensure complete accuracy. (We have been known to catch mistakes in the authorizing documents send to us by study sponsors). Once a test is underway, our QA staff conducts a 100% review of all data points and study documentation to ensure our sponsors of completely repeatable and defensible test results.
All RCTS reports adhere to ICH (International Conference of Harmonization) standards. The reports detail what we did, the results that were obtained, and our conclusions. While detailed, they are also highly readable and very user friendly. Because we archive all test data, we can easily retrieve data from previous RCTS tests—even those conducted years ago—to compare them to current results.

Test-Population Database Management
RCTS maintains a large, ethnically diverse test-panelist database, which enables us to quickly identify and recruit individuals who meet specific study requirements. Over the years, this database has grown to include approximately 4,000 adults and 2,000 children (including many children under the age of 3), and the list continues to grow.
Expert management of this important asset has been one of the keys to our success, and we continually update the database to ensure the most efficient and thorough tracking of all test population-related parameters, such as panelist age, address, phone number, ethnicity, medical history, availability for testing, consumer product preferences, and much more.
Panelist Recruitment
Because RCTS maintains a full-time recruiting staff, we can access our huge panelist database quickly and efficiently to successfully recruit the required number of volunteers, regardless of the size, scope, or schedule of the study.
