Our facility—a 16,500 square foot building constructed and owned by RCTS—was designed specifically as a clinical testing facility and, as such, houses all the specialized work areas and technologies required of a state-of-the-art testing center, including:
Because of our spacious facilities and large number of testing rooms, RCTS is uniquely capable of handling large studies with ease, even those requiring hundreds of test panelists per day. As a result, we can initiate and complete clinical tests on time, within the agreed-upon schedule.
Our electronic clinical data undergoes multiple redundant backups every 15 minutes, and full staggered redundant backups are conducted twice each night. This data is stored in a controlled-access, HVAC-regulated server room. In the unlikely event of data loss, a formalized data recovery plan is in place.
Paper files are stored onsite for a limited period of time in a controlled-access storage room, then moved offsite to a secure, fireproof storage facility. Access to files from any of our storage areas—onsite or offsite—requires a formal checkout procedure, controlled by our QA team.
Our technical staff has been provided with a separate work area that includes 21 fully equipped data-entry workstations. Likewise, our QA staff and Clinical Research Coordinators are located in their own spacious workstation area where they can collaborate more efficiently on study designs and clinical reports.
Our large panelist recruitment area currently houses four full-time recruiters, with additional workstations available as needed to meet the needs of our study sponsors.
The RCTS building is monitored 24/7 for the security of our employees, panelists, and study sponsors. We adhere to all regulations for the safe removal and disposal of hazardous waste, and provide perfect accounting and reconciliation of all test materials.
